Exelon is seeking an Operational Technology
(OT)/Cyber Security Engineer with generation plant OT experience to provide oversight
of NERC regulatory & corporate mandated OT cyber security requirements.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
As the engineering subject matter expert, this position will provide expertise
in the area of Cyber Security within a power plant OT framework. This position performs advanced engineering
problem solving in support of power plant operations and is responsible for
technical decisions associated with Cyber Security and plant control systems.
Supports plant design modifications, testing and problem solving. Assure all
engineering products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable requirements,
standards, and good practices. Ensures
compliance with applicable NERC & Corporate Cyber Security standards across
the Exelon Power fleet. Recommend the
necessary corrective actions and provide recommendations to meet industry best current
practices while effectively managing risk and budgetary constraints.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate IT and site teams to implement and administer NERC & corporate
mandated cyber security programs on plant control systems and associated
devices. Manages the NERC Transient
Cyber Asset (Doble DUC) program for the fleet.
- Identify, provide, and manage corporate and site-specific corrective measures and counter-measures to remediate identified vulnerabilities and weaknesses to assure full compliance with NERC & Corporate Cyber Security requirements.
- Establish a comprehensive working knowledge of NERC &
Corporate Cyber Security requirements, in order to implement company programs
to ensure compliance.
- Serve as primary contact for site teams to implement and administer the NERC
mandated cyber security program. Serves
as liaison between site teams and the Exelon Power Regulatory Compliance Team.
- Perform Cyber assessments as required by the NERC cyber security programs.
- Coordinate IT and site team to facilitate self- certifications,
spot checks and audits
- Support the sites in testing and issue resolution associated with the cyber
security programs.
- Maintain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise; monitor
changing regulatory requirements for NERC Cyber Security; evaluate new
technologies or technology opportunities and provide analysis of their
potential impact to the business.
- Completes implementation of Protective Relay Enoserv Database and RTS Relay Testing software across the Power fleet.
-Works with corporate and site DCS personnel to ensure effective power plant operations.
Qualifications
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Appropriate, verifiable technical skills in engineering and OT or IT. Working knowledge of power plant control
systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of change management techniques associated with new
technology implementation.
- Demonstrated leadership ability.
- Strong judgment, excellent analytical ability and consulting skills.
- Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively with all
levels of IT and engineering.
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering related discipline and 5
or more years experience in OT Security, IT or engineering with at least 3
years in cyber security activities.
- Advanced technical skills in engineering, IT and cyber security.
