PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Operations Specialist will be a robotic field operator for UAVs, robotics and submersibles who supports mission planning, perform data collection and assist in the processing of collected data. Equipment repair, assembly, integration and testing of hardware and systems of the supported mission is also essential. Asset Management of associated hardware including following and updating existing procedures as well as tracking hardware assets used for projects and ensuring accountability of their location and maintenance status

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Mission Planning: Supports the develop of mission plans, pre-mission preparations, perform data collection, data processing, perform equipment/system repair, perform the assembly, integration and test of equipment/systems, and overall support of projects end-to-end for Aerolabs Operations.
  2. Field Operations: Assist field-side operational missions, perform Visual Observer responsibilities, support associated assets Inspection results and record inspection results accurately. Ensure all Mission records are logged, errors noted, and field documents are secure
  3. Support the Asset Management, maintenance and control of AeroLabs Robotic equipment. Tracks hardware and associated components, ensures accuracy with HW data in asset system of record, coordinates with logistics for distribution and receipt of equipment
  4. Support the trouble-shooting of hardware/software failures in the field, escalate as needed, and communicate potential solutions.

Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 0-3 years’ operations experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with peers in a teamwork environment.
  • Ability to develop, and maintain effective working relationships with customers, peers, subordinates, and management.
  • Ability to gain unescorted access to Exelon Nuclear Stations
  • Possess or has ability to gain, FAA Remote pilot part 107 certification
  • Consistent demonstration of safety as a personal and organizational value.
  • Technical, analytical, and organizational skills along with strong demonstrated oral and written skills
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office and other Windows based applications
Preferred:
  • Nuclear plant experience or Radiation protection experience
  • Electrical Distribution and/or Transmission system work experience
  • AUVSI Level 1 UAV Operator
