PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

  • Functions as the primary interface between customer and supplier interface for Generation Supply Operations.
  • Manages distribution and delivery from suppliers to local end users at a high service level.
  • Receives, picks, issues, and stages material as requested.
  • Load & unload material and Items of varying sizes, shapes & weights.
  • Perform commercial receipt of incoming material and verify compliance with Purchase Order requirements and document as required in computer data base.
  • Accurately store, count & Issue material to support plant needs.
  • Participates In activities for promoting diversity, both in the workplace and in the supplier base.
  • Seeks feedback on performance and opportunities for continuous improvement
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Procure coded and non-coded material resulting from reorder review or customers direct request.
  • Complete purchasing/procurement of short lead time materials.
  • Receive, store, & issue a wide variety or material & components to support plant needs
  • Ensure that correct receipt Inspection performed for each type of material received
  • Operate equipment, i. e. fork lifts, order pickers in a safe efficient manner while loading, off-loading or handling material
  • Manage material availability through direct integration with Work Management representatives in accordance with published work schedules.
  • Support other facilities within the region.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma
  • Three to five (3 - 5) years or related experience
  • Ability to work Shift Work Ability and flexibility to travel to different facilities within the region
  • Ability to be trained to operate fork lifts & similar material handling equipment.
  • Familiar with Work Control, Planning and Maintenance functions as it relates to Supply Operations
Preferred:

  • BA/BS in related field
  • Power Plant Warehouse Experience
