PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONResponsible for the administration of the company's qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plans. Responsible for the administration of the weekly payroll benefits and defined contribution plan deductions and compliance reporting. Serves as the subject matter expert. Works directly with Third Party Administrators (TPA) related to the delivery of defined contribution and payroll deductions. Acts as a primary company representative and liaison with internal clients and external vendors to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and cost savings. Understands the benefits and defined contribution plan deductions, earnings, imputed income, arrears and end-to-end processing with weekly and all payroll cycles. Works directly with Plan Administrator to resolve plan, policy or ERISA appeals issues. Interact with executives and their financial planners to provide information on the Exelon qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plans. Supports/manages special Benefits Operations initiatives that support Exelon business objectives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- Manages the company's qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plan; responsible for benefits and defined contribution deductions, imputed income, arrears and end-to-end processing for weekly and all other payroll cycles; serves as the subject matter expert. Overall responsibility for all operational aspects of the Company's applicable plans, including: - Understanding the Oracle Fusion data/payroll environment that supports the accurate determination of the 401k and Deferred Compensation plans contributions, matches, profit-sharing match, and fixed contributions in lieu of pension as well as the benefits deductions and imputed income for the weekly and all payroll cycles. - Responsible for the oversight of the recordkeeping and funding reconciliation and accounting accruals, interacting with the accounting and investment teams. - Support for executives to provide information on the qualified and non-qualified defined contribution plans (50%)
- Manages and directs TPA. Monitors plans for legal compliance and contractual performance standards. (10%)
- Evaluates and interprets plan documents, procedures, and contract related to ERISA, Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor. (10%)
- Identifies, develops, and implements process improvements to adhere to plan compliance and systems requirements. (5%)
- Identifies controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Performs self-audits and monitors operations to ensure controls are operating as designed. (5%)
- Administers the non-qualified defined contribution plan to ensure compliance of plan provisions and IRS regulations working closely with Corporate Compensation. (10%)
JOB SCOPE- Identify and audit controls to ensure plan provisions are in compliance and payroll deductions and earnings are in compliance.
- Significant independent decision-making opportunities and responsible for setting operational direction.
- Executive interaction acting as Company representative for defined contribution plans.
- Operates independently with little or no supervision.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- 4-year degree and a minimum of 8 to 10 years defined contribution experience.
- Project management skills and proven ability in vendor management
- Excellent customer service skills with strong communication skills
- Ability to navigate and deliver results oriented work in project environment.
- Communicates information to ensure its delivered, received, understood and results in action.
- Makes decision based on analysis of relevant information including problems, root cause analysis, priorities, critical issues and alternatives.
- Works with others to achieve common goals that result in more than what could be done individually
- Applies sound management principles to maintain work flow, create change and shift paradigms.
- Strong leader with ability to motivate others to work toward a shared business vision; balance priorities; leadership approach.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations. Stays current on proposed regulations and impact to benefits plans.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist.(or similarly recognized industry certification)
- Experienced TPA work in defined benefit/defined contribution is a plus
Benefits- Annual salary will vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $106,400-$159,600
