PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The Office of the CIO (OCIO) is charged with leading the IT transformation and building an organization that ensures the standardization of processes and tools, that enable the effective and efficient delivery of IT solutions to our business partners. The Service Portfolio Management and Projects Office (SPMPO) within the OCIO plays an instrumental role with driving IT wide project, portfolio, resource, financial and organizational change management standards, processes, tools and governance that consistently deliver the desired business outcomes. Within SPMPO, the IT Organizational Change Management (OCM) function drives standardization of change and communication management processes and tools, resulting in the effective adoption, utilization, and realized value of IT services. The Analyst IT - Organizational Change Management is responsible for supporting the development and executing change activities, communications, and training tasks for to support small to medium scale transformational IT initiatives.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supports effective organizational change management while working with team members and business partners to effectively complete OCM deliverables such as stakeholder analysis, change impact analysis, establishing and mobilizing change networks, drafting and organizing communications such as road shows, lunch and learns, newsletter articles, talking points, and measuring and monitoring end user adoption and readiness (50%)
- Uses prescribed guidelines or policies to provide support to the IT Organizational Change Management (OCM) function and execute change management programs and activities applying the Exelon IT OCM Methodology (Prosci), processes and tools (25%)
- Support and participate in organizational change management tasks as directed by the OCM manager including writing stories, interviewing stakeholders, updating SharePoint sites, and developing presentations (15%)
- Support employee engagement activities including meetings, videos, broadcast events, webinars, lunch & learns, and more (10%)
JOB SCOPE
- Position reports directly to the IT Communications Manager
- Position activities are primarily internal to IT with a focus on communicating / reporting on IT strategy, initiatives, projects, goals, etc.
- Position may coordinate and collaborate with corporate communications and stakeholders external to IT
- Involves some proactive communication planning, with oversight from the manager, and plan execution, project leadership and a high level of coordination with other team members and stakeholders
- Requires ability and comfort with stakeholder engagement and outreach
- Requires occasional travel
- Works under general supervision
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Business Management, Change Management, Communications/Marketing, or related discipline plus 2-4 years working knowledge and experience with Organizational Change Management. In lieu of degree, 5-9 years relevant combination of education & work experience.
- Prosci Change Management certification and experience.
- Data analysis and synthesis skills; experience with MS Excel.
- Experience working on project implementations, technology solutions and/or working at a large consulting firm, utility, or other regulatory company.
- Experience/knowledge of Organizational Change Management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Effective communication skills including active listening skills and adapting communications style as needed to best suit the audience and situation.
- Ability to plan, develop, and deliver creative, visually impactful, consistent messages in a systematic, ongoing manner, involving the right people at the right time.
- Demonstrate ability to operate in a fast, complex, and changing environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Organization Development, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or related field
- Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.
- Visual and graphic design experience and ability to efficiently translate complex messages into user-friendly deliverables including, but not limited to infographics, newsletters, training, and presentations using tools such as MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
