PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide functional support to the finance community related to the Power Plan application, processes, and tools at Exelon.  Work closely with the Power Plan vendor along with Exelon Plant Accounting, IT and Tax teams.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide Power Plant application support for Fixed Asset & Lease book close processes and reporting.   
• Perform configuration management and implement system fixes, updates and enhancements by working closely with IT and the Financial Community.
• Provide Power Plant Provision support for Fixed Asset & Lease-related Tax book close processes and reporting.
• Facilitate business process improvement through the use of technology
• Provide help desk support and training related to tools to Fixed Asset, Lease and Tax user communities            
• Integration with accounting, planning and other financial systems

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

• This position is an application support role requiring the ability to understand business requirements for Fixed Asset & Lease accounting functions and how to work with IT and/or Vendor to implement the technology solution.  Additionally, this role interacts directly with accounting and finance personnel, therefore strong communication skills and a customer service orientation are required.

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, general business administration or computer science
• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in accounting, financial systems, or related field
• Knowledge of Fixed Asset accounting including FAS 143
• Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity
• Solid analytical capabilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls including SOX controls
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and team working capabilities
• Strong aptitude of accounting systems and technology        
• Microsoft Office 2016 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)

Preferred:

• MBA in Finance, Accounting or Systems
• CPA or other financial certification
• Utility industry experience
• System support experience
• Business analysis experience
• Minimum 2+ year of experience in Fixed Asset accounting including FAS 143
• Working knowledge of Power Plant Fixed Asset/Lease v10.4 or higher
