PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Sr. Systems Engineer will possess the experience and skills to design and support in an advanced role within the Exelon IT organization by providing expert technical guidance, direction and insight to project managers and stakeholders regarding IT system solutions and improvements being deployed within the enterprise environment. Must be able to design and drive high priority and complex IT system initiatives and project design solutions to include cloud, non-cloud and hybrid cloud models.
The Sr. Systems Engineer will be expected to provide technical leadership to support design, configuration, delivery and maintenance of remote access solutions supporting Exelon. Must have the ability to evaluate remote access solutions and make recommendations for supporting and improving these services. This role will work in collaboration with other IT teams, IT leadership, enterprise business partners, vendors and project/design teams, in all aspects of the secure & reliable hosting of remote access services throughout Exelon’s large & complex enterprise and real time operational environments.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Undertake complex remote access projects requiring specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on complex or ambiguous issues. Comprehends the big picture.
- Provide technical expertise and/or solution delivery support for maintaining performance and reliability of remote access solutions.
- Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners to determine requirements in support of service levels and project commitments. Establishes partner relationships with clients, internal and external. Visible and accessible to clients.
- Build and maintains knowledge of new technologies or technology opportunities and assists in development of analysis for business and/or IT clients.
- Participate in relevant IT Architecture Domain Groups to appropriately review and plan the introduction of new remote access technologies. Ensures appropriate implementation of technology. Establishes and communicates common technical goals/direction for team.
- Provide performance evaluations, career development feedback, and recognition. Acts as a source of direction, training, and guidance for less experienced staff. Approachable and leads by example.

Qualifications
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 5 to 8 years hands-on experience with Citrix Remote Access solutions or in lieu degree, 9-12 years equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Expertise in delivering virtualized applications and virtual PCs to a large corporate environment
- Expert knowledge in Citrix Studio (MCS), Citrix ADC appliances (AKA NetScalers), and Citrix Profile Management.
- Solid working level knowledge of IP networking, Windows PC and Server Administration, Azure IaaS, Azure RBAC, Azure WVD, ControlUp, AD Group Policy, and PowerShell
- Excellent communications skills - Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written and verbal).
- Understanding of change management principles associated with new technology implementations.
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Understands and applies project management principles when leading and directing work
- Promotes knowledge via seminars, presentations and publications within IT and Exelon
- Participates in technological innovation to drive new business opportunities and solve complex business problems
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Able to travel domestically (minimal travel required)
