Primary Purpose:
Closely collaborate with various internal stakeholders, information architects, data engineers, project/program managers, and other teams to turn data into critical information to inform decision making. This requires understanding business needs, providing, and receiving regular feedback, and planning the proper transfer of developed solutions. Mine big and small data for insights, using advanced statistic and machine learning methods. Validate findings with the business by sharing analysis outputs in a way that can be understood by business stakeholders. Application of data tools and modeling to provide predictive analysis and staffing strategies as it applies to storm response.
Analyze data using advanced analytics techniques in support of process improvement efforts using modern analytics frameworks, including – but not limited to –Oracle, Python, R, Scala, or equivalent, Spark, Hadoop file system and others. Scorecard and Metric reporting using Data Visualization tools like, Power BI, Tableau or other. Access and enrich data warehouses across multiple Company departments. Build, modify, monitor and maintain high-performance computing systems. Provide expert data and analytics support to multiple business units. Administer and maintain SharePoint content pertaining to the Emergency Response Organization.
The Sr. EP Specialist is accountable for maintaining and monitoring ERO performance through various metrics such as Storm CAIDI, Storm Activation Ratios, ETRs and Cap and O&M measures, and Customer Service Levels. Additional performance indicators are also developed by the Administrator to measure the effectiveness of that individual’s specific area of responsibility.
The Senior Emergency Preparedness Specialist must drive continuous improvement of the Emergency Response core function and must identify and evaluate performance barriers and capture gaps that adversely impacts ComEd’s emergency response efforts. Equally, the Sr. EP Specialist is accountable for developing relationships with industry peers and experts to define best practices & standards and to assertively challenge the status quo. In addition, each Sr. EP Specialist maintains a close working relationship with an assigned storm team and is expected to monitor their team’s performance and assist that team’s leadership with execution of all storm processes and team membership.
Directly responsible for optimizing the policies, programs, processes, and procedures related to the Emergency Response Core Function of the Management Model.
