PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONSupport internal and external audit activities in accordance with industry control frameworks such as Sarbanes-Oxley and NERC CIP. Coordinate audit response within the IT organization. Ensure IT systems and processes support industry standards and best practices. Work across the organization to continuously improve our processes and create new processes and create new processes as the industry evolves
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- As directed, perform compliance activities including assessments, evidence review, interfacing with internal teams, and supporting audit activities. Assist in the maintenance and creation of risk assessment, controls review, test plans, documentation and reports. (65%)
- Acquire and apply business/IT knowledge. (15%)
- Organize own activities for short term or sub-project/components under the direction of experienced personnel and reports on status. (10%)
- Gain product experience and technical skills through assigned role and training. (5%)
- Ensure adherence to standards as outlined in the management mode and internal job aids. Utilize best practices to improve products and services around compliance deliverables and requirements. (5%)
JOB SCOPE- As assigned, work effectively with internal and external auditors as well as IT management
- Performs this service in support of the IT Compliance functions including the Office of the CIO and our NERC CIP functions.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelors degree and typically 2 to 5 years related experience in Information Technology or 6 to 9 equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Technical understanding of information systems, platforms and IT operating procedures.
- Ability to manage and solve complex problems.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Audit or enforcement experience.
- Understanding of NERC CIP Reliability Standards, SOX and/or other compliance standards.
- Proficiency with collaboration tools (Share-point, Teams, Yammer)
