PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITIONOversee the management of personnel and activities of the T & S Parts Team, including sourcing, expediting, forecasting and coordination with the other distribution and T&S business units. Provide oversight and governance implementation of the personnel and activities of the Materials Availability operation including analyzing, sourcing, purchasing, expediting and coordination with work management I operations clients. Direct and supervise warehouse, storeroom, and site supply personnel during storm events if assigned ERM role. Oversee the management of focused material and logistics support to support the operations, system expansion and system reliability work of T & S and Distribution. Govern and oversee the management of personnel and activities that provide technical expertise and support to Transmission, Distribution, and Substations in the area of spare parts identification, procurement, and management.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES- Oversee and govern the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategic initiatives designed to: - Assure the optimal inventory levels for Emergency Reserve parts, equipment, and replacement parts. - Optimize the levels of material availability, customer service and inventory to maximize profitability and support Exelon's reliability and customer/client satisfaction goals. (20%)
- Govern and oversee the establishment of new suppliers, and evaluations for supplier technical capabilities, performance monitoring, and implementation of performance improvement plans for existing suppliers. Oversee and supervise the day to day responsibilities the Materials Availability and the T&S department, including but not limited to: -Analysis and management of inventory levels -Day to day procurement activities -Obsolesce program -Creation of new cat id's -Parts catalog -Supplier invoice management Interface with long range planning, work planning, and reliability schedules and teams. (20%)
- Communicate with other departments in Energy Delivery and represent Supply to outside organizations regarding work management process, work planning, logistics planning and material availability, T&S and warehousing. (15%)
- Govern the management inventory obsolescence, repair and replacement, and inventory optimization processes for T & S material. (10%)
- Govern and supervise the day to day responsibilities of the Material Availability and Supply T&S department (25%)
- Oversee the evaluation of potential market conditions and equipment availability; and establish and implement mitigation strategies. (5%)
- Develop and manage department budget. (5%)
- Support the Business Units' Emergency Response activities.
JOB SCOPE- Governs the oversight and direction of planning and analysis of material needs, optimization of material availability and inventory optimization.
- Govern and oversee the planning, control and physical distribution for major distribution facilities, emergency warehouses, remote staging locations, and remote job sites.
- Manage internal and external customer satisfaction; position Impacts external customer satisfaction in terms of service reliability (outage duration and frequency).
- Travel on average 25% across Exelon sites and business units as business needs dictate.
- Serves as principal point of contact for Communication with the VP's and Directors of T & S and Distribution for all issues involving Supply Chain Management.
- Governs the oversight the maintenance of Asset Suite 8, purchase order and inventory modules to ensure complete and accurate information.
- Communication across business units, with Suppliers, and other stakeholders to successfully source and purchase materials.
- Oversees the establishment, implementation and maintenance of the processes and programs aimed at optimizing the performance of the Supply Chain.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, science or related field with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent computer skills including Micro Soft software inventory, PassPort, and eSourcing tool.
- Strong communicator, written and oral, with strengths in organization, planning skills.
- Strong analytical skills with respect to total cost of procurement versus unit cost.
- Working knowledge of the Inventory, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable modules of Passport (Purchasing, Contracts, and Action Tracking).
- Strong project and change management skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSKnowledge of commodities, suppliers, market alignments and supply concepts; and corporate and department practices and procedures, contract law, UCC, government regulations, market pricing and risk analysis.
