PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Provide functional support to the finance and IT feeder communities related to all General Ledger, Allocations, Projects , Inter-Company Billing, Consolidations and Account Reconciliation related processes and tools at Exelon. Assist with the work prioritization of enhancements and provide functional support to the BSC Finance group by assisting with the design and configuration of the intercompany billing process and tools.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Provide PeopleSoft application support for book close process, allocations, financial transaction data validation, inter-company billing, consolidation and account reconciliation system processes (30%)
• Perform configuration management and implement system fixes, updates and enhancements by working closely with Exelon IT, Corporate Accounting and the Finance Community (25%)
• Facilitate business process improvement through the use of technology (15%)
• Coordinate changes that impact other financial systems such as budgeting/forecasting, fixed asset accounting, Tax, inter-company billing and various external feeder systems (10%)
• Maintain required documentation to support Sarbanes Oxley controls and audit requests (10%)
• Prioritize and direct the work of the IT Tech Support Team to meet business requirements and deliverables (10%)

JOB SCOPE

• The position requires knowledge of upstream and downstream system and business processes.
• The ability to do impact analysis on system change requests and the ability to analyze and diagnose system issues in an accurate and timely manner.
• Strong analytical skills, communication skills, project management abilities and a customer service orientation are required.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or computer science
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, financial reporting, public accounting related or financial system related
• Minimum of 5 years' experience working with PeopleSoft Financials applications in a functional support role
• Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to interact with and team with all levels across many areas of the Company
• Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity
• Exhibit professionalism and stay current on professional development
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems and technology
• Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls & SOX compliance
• Strong interpersonal skills and team working capabilities
• PeopleSoft General Ledger, Allocations, Projects, Contracts, Billing v8.9 or higher (v9.2 or higher a plus)
• PeopleSoft Query Tool
• Microsoft Office 365
• In-depth understanding of PS database tables and their relationship to each other.
• PS Application Designer (read-only access)
• Blackline or similar reconciliation system

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA in Finance, Accounting or Systems
• CPA or other financial certification
• Utility industry experience
