PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

 Primary Role of the position is to manage the preparation of monthly Actuals and Latest Estimate (“LE”) reporting and support the Long-Range Plan (“LRP”), with a focus on forecast modeling related to plant forecasting, including depreciation and AFUDC. Individual will work within an FP&A team environment while interacting with various other departments. Individual will manage the development of the team and promote continued career growth and alignment of goals.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Prepare monthly financial analysis for senior management of actuals and LE reporting, with a focus on plant forecasting across various financial systems. Compare monthly and YTD actual results to budget and previous LE and provide variance explanations.
• Support the development of the LRP, including forecasting of plant-related line items such as depreciation and AFUDC. 
• Support Regulatory teams on various regulatory filing requests, including multi-year rate planMYP, base rates and tracker filings.
• Support the administration of Utilities International (UI) forecasting model (UIPlanner).
• Supporting analysis and ad-hoc requests.
• Manage the functions of the team  and assure development and supervision of team to promote continued career growth and alignment of goals.

Qualifications

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

• 4-year degree in a business related field and 8 to 10 years of experience. Demonstrated success in finance or business operations.
• MBA/CPA preferred
• Effective financial analysis skills combined with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional Certification or Recognition
• Exposure to utility accounting principles, financial metrics, and financial statement relationships
• Working knowledge of Business Operations and Industry practices
• Thorough computer-based analytical skills (Microsoft Office)
• Expertise in Hyperion/PeopleSoft, PowerPlant and/or WPT and Financial systems preferred
• Functional experience with UIPlanner preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
