PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

As part of the IT Talent and Training team, implement initiatives to build capability among leaders and employees to develop talent to support business strategy and goals. The Sr. Analyst Talent & Training plays a crucial role in ensuring the success and effectiveness of initiatives within the IT organization and providing day-to-day support for The IT Experience programs.

Contribute to the success of our people by developing quality and relevant learning initiatives that constantly improve the IT Experience at Exelon. As a member of the IT Talent and Training team, lead initiatives to build capability among leaders and employees to develop talent to support business strategy and goals. The Sr. Analyst IT Talent & Training plays a crucial role in ensuring the success and effectiveness of initiatives within the IT organization and overseeing day-to-day support for The IT Experience programs.

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • IT Talent and Training Development and Information Delivery: Manage the contents and functionality of department websites, ensuring its alignment with Exelon IT's organizational engagement and effectiveness focus area and integration into Exelon IT's business practices and procedures. Develop look and feel of department websites. Manage department websites day-to-day, including creating, revising and posting content. Monitor SharePoint traffic, respond to SharePoint feedback, and implement changes to the site's layout and content based on feedback. Oversee content authors' submissions and ensure work is edited prior to deployment / uploading. Upload and maintain content on Learning Management System (LMS). (20%)
  • Implement initiatives to build capability among leaders and employees to develop talent, particularly high potential talent, to support business strategy and goals. Support coaching to leaders on the effective utilization of development tools such as job assignments, job rotations, development programs, training, and coaching and mentoring. (20%)
  • Work with IT, with guidance from manager, to develop and implement programs and initiatives that respond to business-critical needs. Execute the results planning process for the Exelon Employee Survey and Inclusion Survey, providing analysis and recommendations to business leaders to drive organizational improvements. (20%)
  • Participate in and sometimes lead project teams to support the development and implementation of IT management and leadership development processes and programs (for example, onboarding, interns, mentoring training, program metrics). (20%)
  • Training, Communication and OCM: Provide training activities communication, and Organization Change Management (OCM) support for change, for the talent and training team and specific projects as directed. Ensure communications methods and technologies are appropriate for audience and message. Ensure effective utilization of OCM methodology and tools; routinely ask for feedback and update tools, templates and SharePoint sites as necessary. Coordinate and plan for training events and educational sessions, working with the Manager, IT, to develop communication and training plans and timelines, building and refining all related materials and communication. Create training materials and tools; coordinate distribution and tracking. (15%)
  • Support internal business operations best practices & research; stay current with organizational development and culture building methods and recommend use as appropriate. (5%)


JOB SCOPE

  • Utilizes understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements
  • Applies technical expertise to plan, design, build or support required products and processes
  • Helps other team members learn appropriate theories, practices and principles that relate to their skill set portfolio
  • As assigned, manage budget for area of responsibility
  • Expected to work under minimal supervision

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business, IT or related field plus 5-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated orientation to understanding the business and business strategy, and the ability to apply process and tools to support strategic business objectives
  • Appropriate technical skills
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and processes management.
  • Experience leading small IT projects or sub-teams.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis ability.
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with remote project teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient using MS Office Tools
