PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Perform activities relating to designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining IT services, portfolios, products, projects and processes under the guidance of a Sr. IT Services Analyst or Manager. May assist in the coordination of tasks for subordinates. Independence level: Works under general supervision.

This role will collaborate with key stakeholders and portfolio leaders to create transparency around the cost-effective delivery of IT services to our customers in alignment with business needs and objectives. Assist in activities related to the planning around designing, building, and maintaining IT services, projects, portfolios, and processes in alignment with financial standards.

The Office of the CIO (OCIO) is charged with leading the IT transformation and building an organization that ensures the standardization of processes and tools, that enable the effective and efficient delivery of IT solutions to our business partners. The IT Investment and Financial Management organization within the OCIO plays an instrumental role in driving IT wide strategy by partnering with our customers and understanding the business needs and technical landscape while ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services and investments to the business through management of the IT LRP, monthly LE, equitable billing allocation, and cost optimization.

The Service Analyst will be responsible for supporting standards across IT specific to the annual Long-Range Plan (LRP) and monthly Financial Reporting processes, which may include, but not limited to, baseline and project financials, investment authorization, equitable billing, and rate case filings. This role will make contributions to driving continuous improvements and adoption of standards, processes and tools required for successful planning and execution of various business needs and IT commitments. In addition to providing thought leadership, with an enterprise perspective.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in the management of $1.2B annual spend between baseline and projects across the IT organization in alignment with the IT Management Model, Utility, and BSC requirements which may include, but not limited to:
  1. Leverage Portfolio / IT knowledge and expertise to provide guidance and support across the organization (IT Leadership and Budget Owners) spanning 10 Towers specific to Long-Range Planning and monthly Financial Reporting processes (planning, budgeting, and forecasting) to drive business results across Exelon and its 6 operating companies.
  2. Analyze IT service delivery financial outcomes/results tied to baseline and projects and report to IT Leadership, including KPI tracking and reporting.
  3. Assist in supporting standard templates, tools, and processes across 100+ stakeholders throughout Exelon.
  4. Assist in the support required for OpCo specific requests and rate case filings.
  • Assist in supporting IT wide process, standards, tools, and governance specific to baseline and project financials, investment authorization, equitable billing, and rate case filings in alignment with IT, Utility, and BSC standards.
  • Assist in driving continuous improvements and adoption of standard processes and tools.
  • Assist in reporting and analysis providing organizational transparency into data required to drive the right conversation and enable fact-based decision making for Exelon and Utility C-Suite leaders.
  • Establish positive team environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel.
  • Grow technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function.


JOB SCOPE

  • As assigned, work effectively with outsourcing partners
  • Performs this service in support of (fill in business area – i.e. Energy Delivery, Real Time, etc).

 

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Business, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, etc.) and at least 2 years of experience in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of utility business practices and processes
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI or other reporting technology a plus.
  • Business process / technical knowledge with Finance and Business Planning experience
  • Demonstrated customer engagement skills
  • Proficiency with data analysis in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analysis ability.
  • Good ability to work effectively across the organization
  • Ability to work with remote teams
