Position will lead supply communications, change management, DEI, training and other talent pipeline and development activities. .  Provides functional oversight of supply communications, awareness and training, to include developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy which supports and enables supply strategic priorities and business plan initiatives.  Oversees effective change coordination and communication with applicable stakeholders and decision makers.  Ensure personnel are informed, involved, engaged in the development of new supply policies and procedures, and prepared as changes occur.  Facilitates and improves supply collaboration and information sharing across all Business Units. Helps to raise awareness and instill personnel with the skillsets to perform the necessary control activities.  Works closely with Corporate Communications for enterprise-wide supply communications.  Partners with change management, communications and training teams across BSC and OpCo’s to execute the supply change management strategy. Partners with HR on DEI, talent pipeline and talent development activities.

The individual within the role should be a strategic, critical thinker who is able to:

  • Effectively translate business strategy into practical organizational change, communication, and training strategies
  • Effectively manage relationships within the matrixed organization
  • Resolve and coordinate complex issues associated with driving change within Supply and across Exelon
  • Proactively advocate for and work to ensure adequate organizational change funding and resources to support supply programs and projects
  • Serve as a conduit of the change management and communications function to cascade important messaging and ensure awareness and readiness for change

This position reports to VP, Business Operations and Technical Services and works closely with the Chief Supply Officer, the Supply Leadership Team and the office of the EVP, Corporate Operations


  1. Supply Communications
    • Oversee development and execution of Supply communications strategy
    • Draft high quality email communications and talking points that require minimal edits
    • Oversee communications for Supply programs & projects
    • Stay current with communications methods and technologies and recommend use
  2. Change Strategy and Delivery Oversight
    • Oversee Senior Change Management Specialist in the development and delivery of the Supply change management strategy, methodology and tools
    • Work with Supply leadership and project managers to identify change management resource needs and guidance
    • Facilitate planning and estimation of change management staffing and budget
    • Lead staffing efforts to align change, communications, and related training resources to programs and projects 
  3. Supply Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), Employee Engagement and Talent Pipeline and Development
    • Develop and assist leadership in implementing DEI strategy, including leading cross-functional Supply Culture of Inclusion Action Team
    • Analyze results of bi-annual Employee Engagement Survey to identify opportunities for improvement and facilitate development of action items across Supply
    • Coordinate annual E03 business talent review and succession planning efforts
    • Oversight and management of Supply talent pipeline programs, including Supply Intern Program 
  4. Strategic Partner to Supply Leadership and Project Teams
    • Serve as central point of contact for all change, communication, and training work, liaising with supply project / program sponsor
    • Build strong relationships with Supply leaders to become a trusted advisor with the goal of helping the Supply organization achieve its strategic objectives and meet their complex change and communication needs, enterprise-wide impacts, and scope
    • Maintain portfolio view of all change, communication, and related training initiatives across Supply 
  5. Continuous Improvement
    • Partner across Supply teams and key partner organizations to refine the change management and communications strategy, methodology, workstreams, and components as needed
    • Support internal business operations best practices & research
  • Develop strategy, provide oversight and support implementation of the Supply Training Program 
  • Other organizational change, communication, and related training tasks as required 
  • Support the Business Units' Emergency Response activities as assigned


  • Strong knowledge of current change, communications, and training theories, applications, and best practices.
  • Skilled in understanding business strategy, translating business support needs to effective change programs
  • Project management and problem solving focus, able to deliver on-time, on-budget, and with appropriate scope of work.
  • Able to plan, develop and deliver creative, visually impactful, consistent messages in systematic, ongoing manner, involving the right people at the right time.
  • Strong meeting, group and team facilitation skills.

  • Fundamental knowledge of organization analysis, performance improvement, high-performance teams and group dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with Security, BSC and OpCo leaders.
  • Experience with qualitative and quantitative analysis and presentation graphics.
  • Proven experience managing relationships and expectations.
  • Able to actively contribute to a high-performing team to deliver extraordinary results.
  • Strong project management experience and skills including deliverables-based work plan design, status reporting, and overall execution against work plans and scheduled.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Communications/Marketing, Change Management, or related discipline
  • 8+ years experience in Communications or Organizational Change Management field or comparable
  • Deep experience/knowledge of communications principles and exceptional written communication skills, able to express messages in different ways to facilitate a better understanding and able to plan, develop and deliver creative, visually impactful, consistent messages in a systematic, ongoing manner, involving the right people at the right time.
  • Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts. Able to simplify the complex, making it easy for people to understand the changes, what they need to do, and how to succeed.
  • Experience/knowledge of Organizational Change Management principles, methodologies, and tools. o Able to identify who is impacted by a change and how. o Able to foster advocacy and ownership.
  • Visual design expertise - ability to efficiently translate complex messaging into user-friendly deliverables.
  • Instructional design skills, able to execute training needs analysis, develop curriculum maps, design and develop training materials, and execute training programs.
  • Experience influencing and shaping leadership decision making, ensuring leaders are committed to goals, aligned with program plans, and mobilized to provide active and visible sponsorship
  • Excellent active listening skills, adapts communications style as needed to best suit the audience and situation. Agile, with a learning mindset.
  • Track record of taking initiative/building bridges between teams to drive results. Able to build organizational and individual trust
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast, complex, and changing environment.


  • Master's degree in Business, Organization Development, Communications, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • Proven experience working with and influencing senior executives
  • Previous Organization and Culture Transformation experience in large, matrixed organization
  • Communications, Training and/or Organizational Change Management Certifications
  • Problem solving and analytical skills (Six Sigma skills a plus)
