PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Develop and implement partnerships with nonprofit organizations in the PECO service territory. Serves as a grant coordinator to the County Affairs Managers and assists them in building/strengthening relationships with county officials and community leaders through grant initiatives (e.g., PECO Green Region Grants Program). Principal responsibility for managing the Company’s employee volunteer engagement programs, supports employee giving programs and coordinates PECO Crown Lights. Reports to Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Note: Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24x7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Develop and implement outreach programs and partnerships with nonprofit organizations in the PECO Suburban Counties Service Territory.
2.Serve as grants coordinator to the County Affairs Managers, assisting them with building and strengthening relationships with county officials and community leaders through grants/sponsorships.
3.Coordinates relationship with Natural Lands for the PECO Green Region Grant Program.
4.Responsible for overseeing PECO’s employee volunteer programs – National Volunteer Week, administrative role with Dollars for Doers, Matching Gifts, Powering Communities (PC) portal for employee volunteer hours, employee giving campaign and annual Powering Communities nominations & luncheon.
5.Coordinates company employee engagement events and initiatives such as the PA Conference for Women, MLK Day, Komen Race for the Cure, MS Bike, etc.
6.Work in coordination with Corporate Relations and Communications teams to promote community initiatives and build positive image for the company, coordinate PECO Crown Lights.
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, marketing or related discipline and 2-5 years related experience in private sector or nonprofit community affairs, public relations or related area, OR in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, 6-9 years of relevant experience.
•Skill requirements: written and verbal communications, project development and coordination, relationship development, event marketing, computer proficiency, Proficiency with PC applications to include Word, Excel, Power Point and desktop publishing.
•Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust and work effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to work across organizational boundaries.
•Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work in a team environment.
•Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
•Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
POSITION SCOPE
•Demonstrate working knowledge of community, political and socioeconomic environment in which the company operates. Supporting company’s Corporate Citizenship objectives.
•Build relationships within suburban counties and with County Affairs Managers, helping them achieve their county-specific objectives.
•Incent employees from all business units to participate in volunteer initiatives through improved organized activities, outreach communications and recognition awards.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field with a minimum of 2 - 5 years related business experience OR in lieu of bachelor's degree, High School diploma and 6 - 9 years related business experience.
General understanding of applicable standards, methods, processes and practices, business fundamentals, and performance metrics in the specific functional area supported by this position (e.g., electric or gas operations, customer service, transmission and substation, distribution system operations, regulatory and external affairs).
Strong proficiency in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, & PowerPoint), and relevant specialized business applications (e.g., project portfolio management, requirements/test management, CIS/CRM, customer self-service, telephony, EPS, EAM, work management, & outage management) to support business needs.
Demonstrated business acumen with general problem solving and analytical/financial skills and a willingness to accept increased responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to establish trust, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and accept accountability of multiple tasks.
Customer driven with demonstrated good written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or Master's degree in a business or S.T.E.M. field.
General knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles of project management.
Certification as : Certified Associate in Project Mgmt (CAPM) OR Project Management Professional (PMP) OR Six Sigma Black Belt
Demonstrated general analytical skills for project evaluation including analysis of projects with economic, financial, risk and decision analysis. Skilled in business case development.
