Primary Purpose:

The Treasury Financial Analyst will be a key member of a team that focuses on the capital markets as well as issues related to Corporate Finance. The position has significant interface within Corporate Planning, Accounting, Business Units and Senior Leadership. Resources will be shared across Corporate Finance


PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support external financing execution efforts (debt issuances and associated compliance reporting, equity, preferred securities, leasing arrangements, etc.). (20%)
  • Support the development of Exelon’s financing plans for the LRP/Budget and special projects. Includes Treasury’s preparation for the LRP/Budget and Board Presentations (related to the Financing Plan. Manage and provide analysis/input to the financing plan around credit implications and financing strategies.). (20%)
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate financing vehicles for investment opportunities considering capital structure issues, impacts on credit ratings, debt portfolio term structure, and risk management guidelines. (10%)
  • Analyze and support credit metric forecasting for Exelon and operating companies, including having responsibility for understanding and ability to explain rating agency ratings methodologies (including analytical adjustments) for all three agencies and being well-versed on ratings trends and actions for industry peers.  (20%)
  • Support investor relations with respect to balance sheet related questions and issues, such as bond maturities, liability management options with respect to debt and preferred stock, etc.  Support rate cases at the utilities with respect to capital structure and balance sheet related questions. (5%)
  • Assist in preparation of various reports and data requests and answer ad-hoc requests for internal and external reporting customers. Routinely communicate actual performance compared to budget/plan/goals. (25%)

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year degree in financial related field and 2 to 5 years relevant experience.
  • Analytical understanding of finance and accounting
  • Effective written skills
  • Thorough computer base analytical skills (Microsoft Office)

MBA/CPA
