PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Manage (or support a Principal or Senior Project Manager with the management of) Information technology projects consisting of cross-functional teams that can involve multiple IT disciplines including contract resources. Responsible for managing or supporting the management of project's scope, schedule, budget, e of multiple IT projects. Leads or supports project teams through business case, funding approval process, innitation, execution and project closeout in accordance with IT Management Model and PMI standards. These projects have budgets that will typically range from $50K to $5 million. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24/7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
JOB SCOPE
The Project Manager is an individual contributor accountable for leading projects with estimated costs typically up to $5M. In this role the project manger will actively manage or support a Principal or Senior Project Managers team performance, scope, budget and schedule within approved parameters and providing structured and detailed reports to the appropriate Management team. Tasks include but are not limited to, ensuring the completion of business cases, budgetary approvals, project scheduling, design and engineering tasks, vegetation management reviews, project reporting, project financial analysis, major equipment procurement, environmental analysis, obtaining real estate and relationship management with external customers, vendors, state and local agencies, and regulatory agencies. Interacts routinely with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, the ' customers, and governmental and regulatory officials.
Project Apollo Profile
The Apollo program is replacing its financial systems with an enterprise wide implementation of Oracle Cloud ERP for core financials and payables, Oracle Cloud EPM for planning & budgeting, and Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse for data analytics. Also included in the Apollo umbrella is a Treasury system replacement and consolidation/upgrade of the PowerPlan Fixed Assets, Tax and Leases application. This program will also implement Exelon’s Integration competency standard for interfacing with boundary systems.
Project Apollo - Project Manager
The Apollo Program recognizes that the Exelon technology landscape will be impacted by Fission company separation activities and other specific projects in flight or planned during the course of the Apollo Program execution. Interdependency management seeks to proactively identify and partner with external teams to address functional and technical risks.
